Electrically operated valves - Series MC
The MC-07 series comprises electrically actuated valves that are used in a wide range of applications for controlling compressed air systems and automation processes. These valves are designed for mounting on base plates and offer a nominal width of 7 mm. They operate in a temperature range from -10°C to +70°C and have a high degree of protection of IP 65, which makes them particularly resistant to dust and moisture. The series is available with both 5/2-way and 5/3-way valve versions. They are available with voltages of DC 12 V, 24 V as well as AC 24 V, 115 V and 230 V and offer a high degree of flexibility when selecting the appropriate power supply.

Electrically actuated valves are ideal for use in electrical control architectures. Solenoid valves integrate directly into PLC systems. They require no separate pneumatic control signal and allow centralized control via fieldbus or a multi-pin connector. If, on the other hand, no power supply is available, or operation is required in hazardous (Ex) areas without electrical certification, pneumatic actuation is the simpler choice.
With pneumatic valves, the ATEX version often differs little in design from the standard valve. With electrical valves, the ATEX version must always feature a specially certified solenoid, for example an encapsulated coil in which all live parts are fully enclosed. ATEX solenoid valves must therefore be ordered explicitly as such.
Yes. For export to North America, AIRTEC solenoid valves can be equipped with UL/CSA-approved solenoid coils.
All AIRTEC solenoid valves are rated for compressed air according to ISO 8573-1:2010, Class 7:2:4 (filtered, oil-free, and dried). The pressure dew point must be at least 10 °C below the lowest ambient temperature encountered. The requirements are identical to those of the pneumatically actuated series.
